Cold War Follies
Cold War Follies
Fear of Communism seems quaint in today’s world, but propaganda and fear-mongering permeate our culture. The quote in front of the reads “Propaganda is a soft weapon; hold it in your hands too long, and it will move about like a snake, and strike in the other way.” Jean Anouilh, 1952. I used imagery from both American and Russian propaganda posters., as well as passages from the 1952 World Book Encyclopedia, the Wikipedia of its day. Perfect gift for history buff, historian or Dr. Strangelove fan.
