Since I consider these shoes to be essentially nonfunctional, they are fodder for art, irony and fun. I started with a drill and armature wire, then wrapped the shoe in plaster wrap. At this point, it looked like “frankenshoe”. Acrylic paint made it look marginally better. The wings are polymer clay with armature wire baked in. Black Aves Two Part Apoxie Sculpt and a small hoard of found objects made the shoe magical. The wooden base is wrapped in patterned polymer clay.
